Stanford University Logo ~ Bitmap to Vector Conversion

Stanford Logo

Stanford Logo

This was a pretty simple job that was done for a Stanford alumni who wanted some wine glasses etched with the logo. This project began by scanning the logo from a piece of letterhead, and then tracing the resulting bitmap into the vector image seen on the left. This was done by creating the “S” using series of three concentric layers, all maintaining the general dimensions of the layer below it. After that, the tree was created, and placed on the top layer.

A pretty simple project, but I think it turned out pretty true to the original.
